1. Introduction

This Shipping Policy explains how products purchased on Edwins Marketplace are shipped and delivered to Buyers. As a middleman platform, Edwins Marketplace connects Buyers with third-party Vendors and provides delivery support through approved logistics partners and pick-up stations.

2. Delivery Options

a) Standard Delivery
- Available nationwide.
- Delivery times vary depending on the Vendor’s location and Buyer’s delivery address.
- Buyers will be informed of estimated delivery timelines at checkout.

b) Express Delivery
- Available for items shipped from within Ghana and fulfilled through our logistics partners.
- Express orders are typically delivered within 1–2 business days in major cities (e.g., Accra, Kumasi).

c) Free Delivery
- Certain items may qualify for free delivery.
- Eligible products will be clearly marked “Free Delivery” on the product page.

d) Pick-Up Stations
- Buyers can choose to collect their orders at designated pick-up stations across Ghana.
- Pick-up station addresses and opening hours will be provided at checkout.

3. Delivery Timelines

Estimated timelines vary by delivery zone:

- Zone 1 (Urban centers, e.g., Accra/Tema/Kumasi): 1–2 business days.
- Zone 2 (Regional capitals): 3–5 business days.
- Zone 3 (District towns): 5–9 business days.
- Zone 4 (Remote/rural areas): Up to 14–17 business days.

Delivery estimates are provided at checkout and may be affected by factors such as Vendor processing times, public holidays, or unforeseen logistics delays.

4. Shipping Fees

- Shipping fees depend on item size/weight, Vendor location, and Buyer’s delivery address.
- Final delivery charges will be displayed at checkout before payment.
- Free delivery promotions may apply on selected items.

5. Insurance & Protection

- All deliveries include basic insurance covering lost or undelivered items.
- Buyers may choose Advanced Insurance for high-value products, calculated as:
  GHS 15 + 5% of the declared value.
- Advanced Insurance provides additional protection against loss or damage during transit.

6. Tracking & Notifications

- Buyers will receive SMS and/or email notifications once their order is confirmed, shipped, and delivered.
- Orders can be tracked in real-time via Edwins Marketplace platform.

7. Failed Deliveries

- If delivery attempts fail (e.g., incorrect address, unavailability of Buyer), the logistics partner will make a second attempt.
- If unsuccessful, the item will be held at the nearest pick-up station for 5 working days before being returned to the Vendor.
- Re-delivery may attract additional fees payable by the Buyer.

8. Returns & Refunds (Related to Shipping)

- Buyers may request a return/refund within 7 days if:
  * The product is damaged during delivery.
  * The wrong product is delivered.
  * The product does not match its description.
- Refunds will be processed after inspection of the returned item through the system.

9. Vendor Responsibilities

- Vendors must ship products within the agreed processing time (typically 1–2 business days after order confirmation).
- Products must be properly packaged to prevent damage.
- Vendors are responsible for working with approved logistics providers to ensure timely delivery.

10. Limitation of Liability

- The Edwins Marketplace is not responsible for delays caused by Vendors, Buyers, or external factors (e.g., strikes, natural disasters).
- Liability is limited to the value of the item and any applicable insurance coverage.

11. Governing Law

This Shipping Policy is governed by the laws of Ghana. Any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of local courts.
